Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth is now in full swing and 40 colourful Elmer sculptures are now dotted around Plymouth for all to find until 16th September. One Less Worry are absolutely delighted to be on board as one of the proud Elmer sponsors.

As an independent local business, we are strong believers in supporting local initiatives, especially as exciting as this one and with a real purpose and meaning behind. As well as putting smiles on children’s faces, this free art trail is also raising funds for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, a charity so
close to many of our hearts. We felt that this was something we just had to be involved in and showed our support very early on by choosing Umbrelliephant by Jenny Leonard.

Ahead of the trail starting, we had a couple of visits from our Patchwork friend – the original Elmer and now we play an active part in spreading the cheer and encouraging others to join-in in finding our own Umbrelliephant.

He’s located on the Citadel Road and welcomes visitors and trail explorers making their way to the iconic Plymouth Hoe. To keep the Elmer magic alive, we have created a dedicated Facebook account for Umbrelliephant where we actively interact with everyone who comes to visit him, share photos and host competitions. We host a weekly photo competition where the best snap with Umbrelliephant gets to win some Elmer goodies. It’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ for joining in with the fun.

If you’d like to take part in the trail, free maps can be picked up from our office in Devonport or from any St Luke’s Charity shops. There is also a free trail app available with a digital map showing more information about each elephant and with lots of rewards waiting to be unlocked.

We are immensely proud to be part of this project, flying the flag for Plymouth, bringing community together, getting families to spend more time together outdoors and of course supporting a very worthy charity. All 40 Elmers, including Umbrelliephant, will be auctioned off on 9th October, but until then, happy exploring!

Follow the adventures of Umbrelliephant right up until the auction day when he finds his new home, follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Umbrelliephant/

Our MD James Toulson talking about the reasons behind our sponsorship:

🎥It was great to talk to one of our sponsors – One Less Worry Payroll Services about why they support Elmer's Big Parade Plymouth. 🖌️James sponsored a sculpture design by the talented Jenny Leonard Art. 👍Big trunks up One Less Worry for helping us spread awareness and raise funds for St Luke's! #ElmerPlymouth St Luke's Hospice Plymouth
